"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

Brilliant Bazaar is Back!

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the Parents’ Guild Christmas Bazaar last weekend – it was a huge success, which we could not have achieved without the help of parents, staff and students. Many parents and students have told us how happy they were to be back in school again for the Bazaar, having missed out on the event last year due to Covid. The balloon modeller was very popular on the day as was the surprise gift room – we hope lots of children were able to find those special presents!

We are waiting to hear how much profit we made from the Bazaar as there is money still coming in but an initial count shows we made over £6,000 on the day so far.

We were delighted to present the school with a cheque for £15,000 at the recent AGM in November – £5,000 each towards cricket nets, diving blocks and mixing decks. In recent years the Parents’ Guild has also funded the purchases of the school’s 3D Printer (seen in action here), ipads for the Junior School, musical instruments (including Junior School trombones and trumpets), benches and picnic table for the Junior School playground, robotics and KANO kit for IT, mannequins for the Art Department, ECG sensor, data logger and heart rate and wave form sensor for the Psychology Department, and cooking and kitchen equipment and utensils for teaching the integrated curriculum in Junior School.

Watch out for details on the final total raised from the Bazaar in January when we will also be announcing our plans for future events throughout 2022. In the meantime, the Social & Fundraising Committee thanks you again for your amazing support and wishes you all a Merry Christmas. We look forward to seeing you again in the spring term!
