Brilliant Performances from U13 Footballers & U18 Netballers at National GDST Sports Rally

By Mr Bennett, Director of Sport

The U13 football team showcased brilliant performance at the GDST football competition. With a total of 20 teams participating, the event was organized into two pools, each comprising 10 teams, requiring NHEHS to compete in 9 group matches. Remarkably, the team remained undefeated throughout the group stage, securing six victories, and drawing three matches. Despite narrowly missing out on a spot in the semi-finals due to goal difference, the girls maintained their upbeat spirits and were exceptionally proud of their achievements on the day.

The Senior netball team embarked on what would be the final netball rally for many of the team members. With 18 teams in the competition, the morning round was fiercely contested, the team performed brilliantly winning 3 out of their 4 matches to progress into the cup competition. The afternoon witnessed more closely fought matches. Demonstrating outstanding performance throughout the day, the girls finished in 5th place.
