Children’s Mental Health Week – Mrs Ferguson’s ‘My Voice Matters’ Workshop for NHEHS Juniors & GDST Schools
Earlier this month we marked Children’s Mental Health Week and under the leadership of Junior School teacher Mrs Ferguson, Trust Consultant Teacher for PSHE (Juniors), we have been focusing this half term on what the theme “My Voice Matters” means to Junior School students, particularly those in Years 3 and 4.
Mrs Ferguson devised a workshop to explore topics that are important to our girls, identify who they want to be heard by and help them to realise that being able to express themselves has a positive impact on their mental health. After delivering her workshop to the Year 3 and 4 students at NHEHS, she has taken it on the road, presenting to this age group at Kensington Prep, Wimbledon and Northwood, as well as sharing her presentation slides and activity sheet to all schools across the GDST.
