"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

Class of 2022 Celebrate in Style

On June 30th, we welcomed Year 13s back to school for an evening of celebration at their Leavers’ Ceremony. The Class of 2022 were joined by their parents and Senior School staff.

Leading the proceedings was Head of Sixth Miss Aherne, who introduced the Chair of Governors’ Mrs Charlie Altman, who added her congratulations and shared wise words with the students. Headmaster Mr Shoults shared amusing anecdotes and spoke about overcoming your imposter syndrome.

The students were presented with their Leavers Certificates and prizes, before we heard from Guest Speaker Bea Appleby, an NHEHS Alumnae. Bea is co-creator of the Female Lead Campaign which is the largest social platform for women’s empowerment with over 8 million followers. Bea shared her memories of school and then offered the students seven tips for the future. These included: Make sure you stay curious, Dare to be different, Always ask for help, Own your accomplishments and Don’t be afraid to fail.

Head Girl Li An Tan finished the evening with a vote of thanks and some memorable highlights of her time throughout the school.

The celebration continued in the Dining Room, with drinks and canapes as the students personally thanked their teachers and collected signatures for their Yearbooks.

Good luck Class of 2022, we will miss you and look forward to seeing you on results day, staying in touch and hearing your exciting news as you head off on your next adventure.
