The Classics department regularly takes our Senior Classicists to see university productions of Greek plays in London as well as Oxford. It is inspiring for them to see students not much older than them putting on such impressive performances.

Earlier this month, our Senior school Classicists travelled to Oxford to see the opening night of an outstanding production of ‘Medea.’ The Oxford Greek Play, was performed half in English, half in Ancient Greek and is a student-run event supported by the Oxford University Classical Drama Society and the Oxford Playhouse. The play featured a new English translation of Euripides’ Medea alongside the original ancient Greek.

We also managed to catch up with alumna, Alisha Ossman, Class of 2023 over a pizza at a renovated 12th century coaching inn, who gave the students the low-down on applying and studying there.
