The GDST has put together an exciting programme of online careers and universities events for the 2022-23 academic year, hosted by a variety of schools (see below).

In addition to these events, the GDST is also holding the first GDST Insight Day of the academic year, for students interested in careers in the creative arts, hosted by Nottingham Girls’ High School. Students taking part in the Spotlight on Theatre Careers Day on November 4th will spend a full day at the Squire Performing Arts Centre in Nottingham focusing on different aspects of working in theatre and the arts.
For those interested in American Universities, the GDST is also hosting an Exploring American Universities Information Session online with GenHERation® on the evening of Thursday 13th October from 6:30-8.00pm. Open to students and their parents in Year 10 upwards, the information session will highlight the diversity of college paths students can pursue in the United States and will feature an overview of the American university admissions process, including application requirements, timelines, financial aid resources, and collegiate athletics. Participants will meet experts from Harvard, Colgate, and the University of Southern California during this session. Students who attend the session will have the chance to win a copy of The Complete College Essay Handbook written by one of the panelists, Dr. Brittany Maschal, who has served as an admissions leader at the University of Pennsylvania, Princeton, and Johns Hopkins University.
There are also two student-led virtual conferences this term, both hosted by Oxford High School, open to GDST students from Years 10-13. The first is an engineering conference in the afternoon of Thursday 3rd November, followed by a fashion conference in the afternoon of Monday 14th November.
