"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

Local Primary Pupils Get Creative at BUDS Enrichment Programme

We were delighted to welcome back pupils from Christ the Saviour C of E Primary School, St Gregory’s Catholic Primary School, Montpelier Primary School, Selborne Primary School and North Ealing Primary School to the fifth of our BUDS sessions last Saturday.

BUDS is our new Saturday enrichment programme working with primary schools in Ealing. The BUDS programme is aimed at Building Understanding, Developing Skills in Gifted and Talented Year 5 pupils from local primary schools. With a focus on Science, English, Maths and Creative Thinking pupils will learn the soft skills required to be able to think creatively, solve problems, and express their own ideas.

For this session, the students investigated Density in STEM and enjoyed writing poetry in English. They also continued making fantastic progress with their mosaics which they had designed and collaborated on in previous BUDS sessions.

We are looking forward to seeing our BUDS programme students again here at NHEHS on 11th June for the sixth session before our final morning together on July 2nd.
