Miss Tidey Presents at ICGS Conference in Cleveland, Ohio
By Miss Tidey, Junior School Teacher – Year 5
For the past 18 months, I was a member of the Global Action Research Collaborative in conjunction with the International Coalition of Girls’ Schools. This involved undertaking an action research project related to the global reset and changes to education following the COVID-19 pandemic.
The focus of my project was teaching the girls in my class social skills to navigate relationships both in the classroom and the playground. After collecting data and writing a report, I was given the opportunity to present my findings at the ICGS conference in Cleveland, attended by over 500 delegates from across the globe. My presentation was a great success and the opportunity to discuss educating girls was invaluable. I am grateful to the ICGS and the GDST for the opportunity to participate in this project.

A real privilege to have shared my #GARC journey with Helena @nhehs, someone I taught GCSE to in my NQT days. Lovely to meet as equals so many years on. @NorthwoodGDST @GDST #whereteacherslearnwithoutlimits pic.twitter.com/Tr37hSHfEB
