Notting Hill & Ealing WINS Independent Girls’ School of the Year Award!
NHEHS has won Girls’ School of the Year at the Independent Schools of the Year Awards.
In a virtual awards ceremony the 14 strong panel of judges, chaired by Dr. Helen Wright, announced NHEHS as award winners in the Girls’ School category for the school’s “bold encouragement of initiatives and programmes that support the development of strong young women who have a clear voice.”
From an inventive 3 day Film Festival launched in 2020 championing the underrepresentation of women in the film industry which was led by a team of Sixth formers encouraging their peers to #SETtheExample, to a huge range of initiatives from the junior school right through their senior years, NHEHS girls learn to find their voice and use this in a meaningful way. At each stage in their learning journeys, initiatives steeped in creativity and assertion abound at NHEHS, so that NHEHS girls learn to find their voice to connect with what matters to them and lead from the front.
Matthew Shoults, Headmaster said: “I am delighted to have received this award. This award acknowledges our passion and commitment to enabling and encouraging girls to take the lead, to find their voice, and to have meaningful impact. We are extremely proud of all our girls, staff and our parents who so enthusiastically support our various initiatives and endeavours.”
Now in their third year, the awards are run by Independent School Parent Magazine. More on these awards with a final list of all winners here.
