"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

Parents’ Guild Spring Ball Auction for Transformational Bursary Programme

Our Parents’ Guild is organising a Spring Ball on March 23rd to continue to raise funds for our transformational bursary programme.

The bursary fund is an aspirational programme to financially support girls in our local area, who would thrive in and contribute to the NHEHS ethos and community.  The bursary programme provides fully funded places for exceptional girls whose circumstances mean that they may not otherwise be able to attend NHEHS.

Since 1986 over 323 young women have been able to be educated at NHEHS only because they received financial support. A bursary place has not only offered these girls an invaluable start in life, that will enable them to fulfil their potential but has also helped to change the lives of those in their family and community, both now and for the future.

In order to reach our goal of providing bursary funding for 10% of our student population, the Parents’ Guild is running an auction in the weeks running up to the Spring Ball, and we need your help!

Here’s how you can help:

1. Please consider contributing items to the silent/live auctions. We are looking for a combination of big, medium and small ticket items (everything is gratefully received!) The item can be donated by you, your employer, or both.

Some examples of large items that have sold well at past auctions include:

Use of holiday homes
Experiences (such as sport, entertainment etc)

Examples of medium sized ticket items are:

Tickets to sporting events, concerts, shows etc
Signed memorabilia
Photoshoots
Spa days etc
Consultations/masterclasses in your specialist area

Examples of small sized ticket items are:

Scented candles
Gym equipment/accessories
Beauty treatment vouchers
Restaurant vouchers

2. Please mark your calendar now and plan to take part in the silent auction which will go live on the weekend of the 16th March. Please email sfrcchairs@gmail.com with details of your donation and name so we can add it to the list of donors.

3. If you are unable to attend the Spring Ball or take part in the silent auction, but still want to donate please do so via the following link: https://www.gdst.net/donate/NHEHS

Thank you in advance for your support of this important event – together we can make a difference.
