Six NHEHS Athletes Represent Boroughs at London Mini Marathon

Six NHEHS athletes were selected to run in the London Mini Marathon on April 20th following borough time trials earlier this month.

Each London borough entered six of their fastest athletes over the 2.6km distance in U13, U15 and U17 categories to compete in the London Borough Challenge and against runners from regions all over Great Britain.  The race took place on the final 2.6km stretch of the full London Marathon, taking in the iconic finish in the Mall. Past competitors in the race include Olympians such as Mo Farah, Keely Hodgkinson, Jake Wightman, Hannah Cockroft and David Weir.

Emma S (U17) and Eadi S-J (U17) ran for Richmond and Brent respectively while Alice W-B (U13), Sofia B (U13), Minna W (U15) and Natasha B (U17) competed for Ealing.

All enjoyed the special occasion and the fast course, with a special mention to the U13 Ealing girls’ team who finished fourth overall out of 33 London boroughs!
