Spanish, Salsa, Chocolate, Churros & More in Sunny Salamanca!
We were delighted to return to Salamanca for our February half term Spanish language trip for students studying Spanish in Years 10-13.
Students were able to immerse themselves in the Spanish language and culture by staying with host families, as well as take part in morning lessons at Colegio Delibes, an institution known for its Spanish language courses, which allowed students to practise their language skills in an immersive context.
Watch our Instagram Reel below to hear what a great experience it was for Clemmie, who has been on this trip twice and is already planning on going next year too! And see what we got up to, including:
Staying with our lovely host families all week
A walking tour of the old town and an energetic climb up the Cathedral towers
Spanish lessons at Colegio Delibes
Visiting the Casa Lis, an extraordinary stained-glass building housing an incredible Art Nouveau collection & an exhibition on the Spanish Civil War
A cookery class making tortilla and (non-alcoholic) sangria, followed by salsa dancing
And of course, chocolate and churros plus shopping for souvenirs and snacks!
