U16 Netball National County Round
By Jaspreet G, Year 11
The U16 Netball National County Round was a challenging yet amazing experience for the U16 Netball team. Our team consisted of Dana N, Jasmine DRR, Georgia C, India R, Pearl M, Sophia P, Jasmine ODT, Julia B, Jaspreet G, Imogen H, Jasmine H and Nico M. After playing 7 intense matches, we unfortunately experienced defeats in three matches against Godolphin & Latymer, Latymer Upper School and LEH. Despite these losses, we were fortunate to have incredible support from parents and our coaches, which boosted our morale and encouraged us to give our best effort on the court. Although we didn’t qualify for the next stage of the competition, we are determined to learn from our mistakes and use them as motivation to improve.
Despite not having our full team on the day as well as bringing many younger players from the U15 team, we learnt a valuable lesson in resilience and teamwork. Looking ahead, we will work on honing our skills, improving our communication on the court, and enhancing our overall strategy. We understand that success in netball requires consistent effort and dedication and our goal of winning the county finals remains. We believe that with perseverance, hard work, and a positive mindset, we can achieve this goal. While the U16 Netball National County Round didn’t result in the outcome we desired, it served as a valuable learning experience for our team. We are determined to use this as a stepping stone towards future success. With the continued support of parents and our dedicated coaches as well as our unwavering commitment to training, we are hopeful that we will emerge victorious in the county finals.
