Y10 Journalists’ First Articles Published for Newsquest Young Reporter Scheme

We were very excited to see our Year 10 journalists’ first articles in (digital) print this week as part of the Newsquest Young Reporter Scheme!

Our four Journalist Leaders, Hannah K, Jemima H-J, Lauren C and Tilda J signed up for the scheme in November and their articles will be published on the This is Local London’s news site (in an area dedicated to the Young Reporter scheme) here. Alongside reporting on current, local and school news, the journalists also have several opportunities to cover real events in London (they have to apply for these by writing articles/features/reports).  The Year 10s have committed to writing one article per month each and meet weekly to discuss story writing and identifying hooks and angles for new ideas they would like to cover.
