We are thrilled to announce that Emmi A-N in Year 12 has been awarded the highly prestigious Arkwright Engineering Scholarship for 2023. The Arkwright Scholarship programme is designed to help students pursue their dreams and change the world as future leaders in Engineering. All applicants undertake a rigorous application process consisting of an application form, evidence of a problem-solving project, a written aptitude exam and an interview with a panel of judges from areas of engineering.

For winning her Arkwright Scholarship, Emmi will be awarded £600 per year to be spent on her studies at school and University.

She will also receive mentoring and guidance from a sponsor with links to professional engineering to help her reach her aspirations of becoming an engineer. The school is also awarded £400 to spend on equipment, materials or teacher training to support future students who discover a passion for STEM subjects.

Emmi’s sponsor is ‘The Worshipful Company of Paviours Livery Trust for Charities’ and has been paired with a dedicated industry mentor, ‘University VIP Days’ which will provide advice and guidance about her future study, career development and technical advice to help with her projects.
