"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

Year 8 Score, Walk, Run, Bake for Alzheimer’s Society

This second half of term it is the turn of Year 8 to organise fundraising activities for their chosen charity, Alzheimer’s Society

A number of students are being sponsored to complete various challenges. Dana is leading on funds raised so far for her netball shooting challenge of scoring 100 goals per day! See her in action here. Well done to all the other Year 8s getting involved, including Alex taking on a 30k swim here, Zahara 20k walks, Nadia sponsored walks, Corinne a 30k walk, Harriet and Klara sponsored baking, Alice 20k walking or running, Ms Barbosa a 10k walk and Juliette a 20k walk.

The Charity Reps are also organising a Year 8 fair on the last Friday of term in the main hall and will be selling bags of sweets or Easter themed goodie bags both at the fair and online. In addition, they will also be hosting an Easter Egg hunt in the last full week of term and hope to hold an intriguing teachers masked singers competition too!

If you would like to donate to this fantastic cause, please click here. Thank you!

To see what other charity and volunteering activities we’ve been taking part in this term, please see our brand new Charities Newsletter here.
