Autumn Concert Wows Audience

What an excellent way to start the musical year with the Notting Hill & Ealing High School (NHEHS) autumn concert. It was spectacular and a spectacle everyone enjoyed. The Advanced Trio dazzled with their expertise, the rock bands rocked the hall and most of the audience had never seen a Bassoon Quintet ever before.

“The concert was a wonderful way to brighten up everyone’s evening,“ said Sara Calian, a NHEHS School parent. 

One of the most impactful performances was the senior choir singing “Stay” by Rihanna. This song was in recognition of the hardship of women refugees. Another great performance was by the new group,  Year 10 Vox Choir.  The audience was fortunate to see what they have been working on for the last term. A quote from one of the singers,  Stanzi, “This is a really engaging and exciting experience which I look forward to continuing in the future.” 

All the hard work of the participants and the music department teachers to bring  together the concert was worth it. Everyone will remember the wonderful feeling that filled the main hall.

The grand finale performance was the A Capella Group Tone Down For What and it was certainly worth waiting for.  One of the group’s singers, Salem, said “I enjoy how it is student-organised and I like making our own arrangements. I think it will be an inspiring group for more people in the school to  create additional Acapella groups.” Overall the Autumn concert gave us different and exciting music all in one night.
