El Regreso de Nuestra Mascota Española, Pepa
Following exciting days out last year with Year 11, these Christmas holidays saw Year 10A Spanish class mascot, Pepa, continue her many and varied adventures.
Everyone would like to live their life like Pepa, who gets to spend every week with a different student in Mrs Alonso’s Year 10 Spanish class. Pepa’s host then updates Pepa’s own page, ‘Las Aventuras de Pepa’ (Pepa’s Adventures), with some photos or videos and a summary of what they have been up to that week (in Spanish, of course!)
During the Christmas holidays Pepa went ice skating, enjoyed a lovely Christmas lunch and watched lots of Christmas movies with Daisy. Earlier last term, she spent her half term holidays with Isabel and her family in a fantastic hotel in Tenerife!
Here’s a recount in both languages by Izzy:
¡Me encantó!
¡Me chifla Tenerife!
During the holidays, I stayed with Isabel and her family and we went to Tenerife for a week!
We travelled by plane which was very exciting! We stayed in a five star hotel which was close to the beach and it was also very cosy and luxurious. However, it was very expensive but it was worth it!
The first day, I didn’t do anything and sunbathed because it was so relaxing. Also, in the afternoon, we had dinner at a Spanish restaurant; we had paella which was delicious and traditional but Izzy doesn’t like it because she hates fish.
For the rest of the week, I lounged in the pool because it was so hot, and sometimes I went to the beach but unfortunately I didn’t swim in the sea. As if that wasn’t enough, the best part was when I saw flamenco shows! I loved it!
I had a great time and it was an unforgettable experience! I love Tenerife!
We look forward to following Pepa’s future adventures!
