"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

Join Our Ealing Half Marathon Team & Be Trained by Pro & Elite Coaches!

We are delighted to announce that we will be running in the Ealing Half Marathon (EHM) to fundraise for The Log Cabin, one of our designated local charities. We have had a parent-staff team running in the event since 2018 which this year takes place on September 24th. We would love to welcome parents of any ability to join us – from first timers to seasoned pros!

This year we are going to be joining training sessions in Pitshanger Park with parents and coaches from several other local schools every Wednesday evening from the end of April for the next 8 weeks.  These sessions welcome all runners from complete beginners to intermediate to advanced, and are coached by pro and elite athletes, including a four-time winner of the event! The first session on 26th April was attended by over 50 runners of all ages and abilities from the local area with a fantastic local community atmosphere. It’s a great opportunity to get fit, meet new friends, train with like-minded people and have fun – we would encourage you to join us!

The Ealing Half Marathon is one of the community’s biggest events and is west London’s only fully road closed half marathon. The Log Cabin is a charity based in Northfields providing after school care and activities for children with additional needs. Each year at NHEHS our Year 10 students organise an annual party for the children from The Log Cabin so it is a cause close to our heart. Since 2018 we have raised over £15,000 for The Log Cabin from our EHM fundraising, however, recent years have been particularly challenging for the Log Cabin and they have been unable to carry out many of their normal fundraising activities. We hope that sponsorship raised through our participation in EHM will provide much needed funds.

If you would like to get involved, please fill out the Google Form sent out on School Comms on 25th April, or get in touch with Mrs Johnson via email. If you would like to donate to this amazing cause, please click here.

Thank you for your support!
