Musicians Impress at Teatime Concert Ahead of Exams
On November 11th we opened our doors for the Autumn Teatime Concert to parents, friends and families of our 18 musicians. The students, from Year 7 upwards, played a variety of instruments including the piano, violin, cello, bassoon, harp and flute.
One of our musicians, Year 8 Aditi R, writes about her experience below:
“This teatime concert had lots of amazing performances from everyone involved! Anyone preparing for a music exam played or sang to an audience of other performers from the evening and it was a great experience after not having been able to perform for such a long period of time. I think these concerts are always helpful in the lead up to music exams, as the practice and experience of performing give you a new insight on what you need to improve. I played Sonata no. 17 by Domenico Cimarosa on the piano, and I think that my performance went well, and my practice paid off. There were a large range of musicians who performed, with people playing the violin, piano, flute, and singing. I really enjoyed watching everyone’s performances and performing in this teatime concert.”
