NHEHS Film Convention 2024

We are delighted to hold our Film Convention next Monday evening as part of our biennial Film Festival.

The Film Convention will be similar to a Comic-con event, and will feature a panel of top female professionals from the film industry: Lucy Bevan, Victoria Fea and Karen Krizanovich, a film workshop and multiple stalls from the industry which will give students an insight into the world of film.

Lucy Bevan is a highly respected casting director in the film industry, renowned for her keen eye in discovering talent and assembling remarkable casts for a variety of acclaimed films, such as Barbie, The Batman, Cruella and a Haunting in Venice.

Victoria Fea is s a distinguished executive producer in the world of TV, known for her keen eye for compelling storytelling and her adeptness in navigating the complexities of production. Her work includes The Mrs Bradley Mysteries, Walking the Dead and Outlaws. Her personal favourite inspirational quote:  “Show don’t tell”.

Karen Krizanovich is a multifaceted writer, broadcaster, and cultural commentator known for her insightful contributions to various media platforms. She is known in the film industry for her work as a researcher for feature film design on major studio productions such Wicked (in production), Damsel, Venom: Let there be carnage, Mission Impossible: Fallout.

This year we are opening this event up to students from local schools aged 15-19 who are interested in pursuing a career in film, but all students are welcome to attend the convention.

The convention will be held at NHEHS and start at 6pm and finish at 8pm and tickets are priced at £2 if brought before the event or £3 at the door.
