NHEHS Joins the European Parliament Ambassador School Programme
We are delighted to announce that we will be taking part in the European Parliament Ambassador School Programme (EPAS). Mr Gallagher will be leading the programme at NHEHS and attended EPAS training last Friday 13th October.
The EPAS programme, aimed at 14-18 year olds, connects nearly two thousand schools across Europe and the UK that are promoting democratic values through the initiative of student involvement. We will be undertaking many activities throughout the year (debates, discussions and critical thinking around democracy, plus events celebrating and sharing European culture: languages, gastronomy, sport and history).
At the end of the year, we hope to become accredited by the European Parliament to become an Ambassador school. Through this we may have the opportunity to visit institutions in Brussels and Strasbourg.
