"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

Sixth Form Bonding Day

By Miss McHenry, Deputy Head of Sixth Form

One of the most integral parts of Sixth Form life at NHEHS is our community spirit.

The start of a new school year allows us the opportunity to grow, bond, and have some fun along the way! On Wednesday 7 September, Year 12 and 13 spent the day at Brentham Club working their way through various teambuilding activities that were setup and organised by WiseUp. Students engaged in tasks that challenged them physically and mentally, and teams were given the chance to reflect on how well they completed each station in regard to communication skills, motivation, and planning.

We were lucky enough to have escaped the rainy weather until the end of the day, and students were in good spirits as they shouted in celebration upon completing each activity they were given. It was a moment of pause before the start of lessons to remind students of the rich and supportive community that they are a part of in the Sixth Form. What a brilliant way to kick-off the start of what I am sure will be a great year!
