For our latest “Sport in Focus” we talked to Year 9 Ella about her love of netball.

“My name is Ella and I love to play netball.

Every Monday I play in a London Pulse Netball Hub with girls aged 13 to 16. London Pulse is a Super League netball team, which means it is in the first division of English Netball. At the moment I only play for the hub but one day my dream is to play for the under 17 team. I also train at Academy Netball Club on a Thursday evening with my friends Addy, Mim, Evie and Iris.

I also play Friday Night Fives with my primary school friends. I really enjoy the sport and the community around netball, especially since I became closer with Keerit and Gen from the years above through the London Pulse Hub. They were so kind and encouraging when I started Pulse even though they were just as scared as I was.”
