#TrySomethingNew with 80+ Virtual Clubs

With over 80 different virtual clubs on offer this term for students from Year 7 through to 13, there’s never been a better time to #TrySomethingNew. No sign ups required – just join the Google links on Firefly and go!

Students have the chance to kick-start their days with one of the many sport clubs or pick up any of the new general interest options, ranging from Spanish Escape Rooms to Cookery, from looking at mathematical Proofs of Identity to hands-on Origami Creations or Miss Cagnino’s Bob Ross Appreciation Society.

Our brand new Year 12 Subject Reps have got involved from the get-go with running around a quarter of the clubs by themselves, including Real World Geography, Intro to Economics, Mindfulness Wellbeing and Psychology Club, Bucket List Book Club and Jury Duty as well as working alongside the teachers in many of the other clubs too.

Brand new clubs making their debuts this term include Physics and Tea, Mindful Meditation, History and Politics Magazine, Astrophysics – Space Design Competition Club, Chinese Dance Club, Rhetoric Club, From Pen to Paper, Dyson Design Engineering Challenge, Tasty Physics and Learning Amazons.

Ealing Teen Read, BBC Book Club, Horrible Histories, Amnesty, Tycoon Enterprise, Longitude Explorer, Mr Shoults’ Cryptic Crossword, Meditation, Lower School Leaders, Humanitarian Leaders, Lived Well Challenge, Coup Club, First Aid, Coding  and other popular clubs also carry on virtually from where they left off last term or the previous lockdown.

Academic options available include Poetry in French, Chemistry Masterclass, Chinese Poetry, English Masterclass, CREST Club, UK Linguistics Olympiad, Chemistry Surgery, MedSoc, Classics Masterclass, Team Maths Challenge and HIGSNFY: Online Science Journal Club. In addition there are multiple options for debating and discussing (Ethical Dilemmas, Talking Points, Politics & Discussion, Year 12 Speaking Society, Year group debating) and creative writing (short story writing) and script writing (drama clubs).
