Welcome to Your Future – Futurist Chloe Combi Talks to Year 11

Our Year 11 students welcomed Chloe Combi, author, researcher, and expert on Gen Z and Gen A, to school on 16th January. Chloe and our pupils discussed a range of topics on the theme ‘Welcome to Your Future’, including what success looks like for you, how what you decide now doesn’t define you, and why listening to different people’s views is important. She also covered taking risks, having resilience and looking after yourself. Chloe made a powerful point that having choices is a gift and urged our pupils to embrace it!

Year 11 student Natasha B said: “The futurist Chloe Combi came to talk to us about our different options for the future. She gave us much valuable advice, such as how to be easy on ourselves as we enter the next period of education after our GCSEs, and how many options we have available to us. Our year group thoroughly enjoyed this talk as she gave us advice that was different to the majority of what we are given, so it was a breath of fresh air to hear all she had to say to us.”

Chloe has interviewed over 20,000 young people and written the book Generation Z: their voices, their lives. She utilises her serious qualitative and quantitative research and delivers one-off talks or long-term projects to help schools, brands, companies, governments and institutions understand and prepare for the present and future.

The insightful and uplifting conversation left our Year 11s excited about their future. Thank you for visiting Chloe.
