"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

Wonderful Junior Carol Concert at St Barnabas’ Church

This year’s Junior Carol Concert was a spectacular affair and moved many of the watching parents to tears!

The traditional event for Years 3 to 6 was held at St Barnabas’ Church, Pitshanger, on Friday 8th December. During the opening rendition of Once in Royal David’s City, the first verse was beautifully sung by Violetta C while Year 6 walked up the aisle holding lighted candles. Year 6s did a variety of readings and carols were performed by all Junior pupils, Year 5 Choir club, Year 6 Choir Club and Years 3 and 4.

The audience could not contain their appreciation and clapped the girls, which is most unusual in a church carol concert. A rousing rendition of Oh Come On Ye Faithful brought the service to a close and Ms Bevan acknowledged how moving the concert was in her final remarks. There was tumultuous applause for Mr Sole, our Director of Music (Junior), with many of the audience getting to their feet for a standing ovation!

Well done girls and all the Junior School staff for such an outstanding carol concert.
