World Ready Programme – Year 13 Workshops
By Mrs Postlethwaite, Deputy Head of Sixth Form
Our Year 13 students are participating in the NHEHS World Ready programme from 26 January through 21 March. This programme, which comprises both practical workshops and a short lecture series, is designed to help students learn and practise skills essential to their life after Sixth Form.
Students attend their choice of workshops on topics such as financial management, employment law, learning British Sign Language, CPR and First Aid, crisis management, self-defence, bicycle repair, studying and working abroad, and healthy cooking on a budget. The workshops are interactive and hands-on, providing opportunities for students to practise what they are learning from people who are experts in their fields.
The Year 13 World Ready programme will end with lectures on the Effective use of AI at University, the Practical Steps of Getting Ready for Uni, and Money + Uni, delivered by Jo Baldwin of Fiscorum.
