Year 11 Scientists Go Book Shopping for the NHEHS Library!
By Elisha K, Year 11
On Friday the 11th of March, a couple of girls from Year 11 had the opportunity to travel to Piccadilly and visit some of London’s most renowned book stores such as Hatchards – the oldest bookstore in the United Kingdom, and Waterstones – significantly being the most popular bookstore in Year 11. We had the liberty to freely indulge in picking out some incredible, interesting, and educational books, which had the ability to broaden our knowledge and motivate students to explore subjects, which they are passionate about such as the sciences and maths, in greater depth.
We purchased around thirty informative books to add to our collection in the school library, overall making the visit a successful trip. It was a memorable experience as the trip was a wonderful way to make our learning enjoyable and interactive, and we would definitely be thrilled to visit again.
These are two of the quotes displayed in Hatchards.
