Yesterday the whole senior school turned out to see the annual staff panto ‘The Wizard of Oz.’ This popular annual school tradition brought the house down – right on Dr Pearce, whose starring role of the Wicked Witch of the East was rather short lived!

Wearing her new red boots, Dorothy, along with faithful Toto and their new friends, travelled along the yellow brick road to ask the Wizard of Oz to give them what they each needed. With the help of a Sauvage clue, they unveiled IT Director Mr Patel’s dastardly plan to discredit the Wizard aka Mr Khan, who has caused IT chaos at NHEHS with his new systems, Chrome books and VR headsets.

The panto raised money for Umunandi, a small UK charity supporting a school in a slum area of Lusaka, Zambia in Africa. The school provides free education to orphans and vulnerable children alongside paying pupils.
