"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

Bright Futures – Year 12s to Donate Tycoon Profits to our Bursary Fund

We were delighted to hear that one of our Year 12 teams of entrepreneurs taking part in the Tycoon Enterprise competition had decided to give some of their profits to our Bursary fundraising, so we decided to find out more about the appropriately named ‘Bright Futures.’

By Carmen HS, Avi S, Lola T and Uma S

For our Tycoon projects we decided to set up a candle business with aromatherapy themed scents as well as other favoured scents, we also have personalised options to ensure we can create as much enthusiasm as possible surrounding our products, making them perfect gifts during the festive season. Our candles are made from soy wax and packaged in beautiful eco-friendly matte black tins.

We decided to call our business “Bright Futures” as our aim is to donate 20% of profits towards the school Bursary Fund. We chose to donate to this because we all value the cause and believe everyone is entitled to same amazing opportunities that we are presented with at Notting Hill and Ealing. Our name is a play off of education and the future it helps create as well as the theme of candles and the light and joy they bring. We are making the candles ourselves to ensure all candles perfectly homemade and personalised to everyone’s wishes. We will also be selling at the Christmas Bazaar on December 2nd which we are very excited for as well as starting up an Etsy shop too!
