Crime and punishment at the Tower of London for Year 5
Year 5s enjoyed a spectacular day out at the Tower of London on Monday 2nd October to learn more about the wives of Henry VIII as well as crime and punishments in the Tudor times. The trip was the ‘Marvellous Middle’ event of this term’s IC topic ‘Tenacious Tudors’. After participating in two workshops on these themes, the girls toured the tower before visiting the awe-inspiring Crown Jewels and the Tudor waterway gate where prisoners arrived via the River Thames. It was a great day, despite it being the busiest the Tower of London has ever been!
