Future Entrepreneurs Take on the Enterprise Tycoon Challenge
An afternoon of entrepreneurial acumen and business endeavour was on show earlier this week, when six Year 8 businesses and one from Year 12 came together in the atrium to promote and sell their products – as part of the Enterprise Tycoon challenge.
Team “Haze” handmade all their candles using a variety of scents and also offered the option of customised candles. Their products were given a strong marketing push by marketing manager Kyra who explained how they developed a dedicated website and Pinterest page to promote their products. “Final Touches” handmade jewellery and hand-painted claw clips and were in the process of working towards a new bath product. Team “Tote-Ally” sold eco tote bags and eco stickers while team “Scrubs & Slimes” aimed to create bath products to encourage a stress-free life.
Team “XoLyps” sold “cosmetic products you can’t find in stores” as marketing manager Serena explained. Their unique products, which “are difficult to find because famous brands don’t produce them in this way” included lip gloss pens which when twisted reveals the gloss, lip balm with mirror and special brush and lip gloss in a variety of scents: cherry cola, strawberries and cream and pink lemonade were amongst their many flavours. Team “Malo” also offered an extensive selection of lip gloss products.
All in all a buzzy afternoon! We await the team’s final totals with interest!
