Huge Variety of UCAS Offers Flood in for Year 13s
By Mrs Collins, Director of University Admissions
We were delighted to hear about the huge variety of UCAS offers received by our students over recent weeks. Six of our Year 13s have offers from Cambridge (four) and Oxford (two), with subjects ranging from Music, Archaeology and Anthropology and Medicine, to Computer Science and Classics.
This year we have candidates with exciting offers for newer courses such as Liberal Arts and the even newer course of Arts and Sciences at UCL, alongside ever popular subjects such as Engineering, Medicine, Politics and International Relations. We are thrilled to see the great diversity of courses our students are hoping to study, ranging from a Law Degree Apprenticeship to five taking Art Foundation courses (three of which are heading for the prestigious Leeds course) and one student holding offers to Dance schools for her professional career. Our students are also holding offers for a wide range of courses including Aeronautics and Astronautics, Aerospace Engineering, Archaeology and Anthropology, Astronomy and Physics, Environmental Geography, Film Studies and English Literature, Mechanical Engineering, Neuroscience, as well as more traditional popular choices including Art History, Biology, Business Management, Chemistry, Classics, Computer Science, Economics, English, Geography, History, History of Art, Law, Modern Foreign Languages, Music, Philosophy, Politics, Psychology and Sociology. Our students will be hoping to take up their offers from universities all over England, Scotland and Wales, including 100+ offers from Russell Group Universities.
I am very proud of these excellent outcomes, despite the challenges of the pandemic and look forward to supporting our students in the months leading up to their university admissions.
