"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

International Universities Evening

Last week we held our International Universities Information Evening, open to all students in Years 9-12 interested in studying abroad.

The event was designed to give students an opportunity to find out more about why an international option might suit them, outlining a range of courses and institutions, and how it can be made viable.

We were joined by UES Education, who covered the differences between the British and the American systems, factors to consider when choosing a college, what is involved in making an application, and the key dates for applications. UES delivers programmes to support students applying for university in both the UK and America and work with us to provide one-to-one support for our students from the start of their ambitions to travel abroad to study. Jason Smith from UES will be returning to NHEHS next week as a follow up to hold these meetings with students.

Currently there are NHEHS alumnae at Trinity College Dublin and Caltech, with many more showing an interest in studying abroad, with a number of our current sixth formers applying for either 2022 or 2023 entry to the US as well.

Thank you to UES and Mrs Collins for a very informative evening, which we hope has inspired our students to consider studying abroad at some stage in their future careers. If any parents would like any more information, please get in contact with Mrs Collins.
