"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

Mentoring Programme Launched to Help Years 7-9 in Lockdown

We are delighted to announce the launch of a mentoring programme for Years 7-9, where students from Years 11-13 are being invited to take part in the programme to support each other through these challenging times.

There are two initiatives that we are asking students in Years 11-13 if they would like to volunteer with, in order to help others in the community until the middle of July.

Small group chats/activities with students in Year 7-9. Some of the students in Year 7-9 are finding the isolation of lockdown particularly hard, so we are asking older girls if they would be happy to host a weekly group chat/activity with students in the lower school. This would be a group of about 6 and ideally would take place during form times on Wednesdays 8.30 – 9.00 am or possibly in period E (depending on clubs) until the end of term.

One to one mentoring – some of the students in Year 7 & 8 are struggling with organisation, particularly in lockdown. We are looking for Years 11-13 who are super organised, patient and would be happy to offer help on a weekly or perhaps even daily basis initially. This would run until the end of term and would be at a time to suit the mentor and the student you are working with.

If you are in Years 11-13 and interested in helping as a mentor, please contact Mrs Swift by Friday June 12th. Thank you!
