Natasha Devon Holds Book Launch at NHEHS
In time for summer holiday reading, Natasha Devon (MBE) came to school this week to launch her first novel, Toxic, which explores teenage friendships.
An audience from Years 9, 11 and neighbouring schools, Greenford High and Elthorne Park High, had the opportunity to hear from Natasha – who is also a mental health campaigner, and to receive advice on how to support their friends through challenging situations.
Our Year 10 Journalists (picutred) led the active Q&A session after an introduction by Natasha who, through the relationship of the two main characters in her book, shows how a friendship can become unhealthy. Questions ranged from why Natasha chose a novel to communicate her ideas, to the signs to look out for when friendships change and how to deal with loosing a friend.
