NHEHS Co-Hosts GDST Career Start Psychology Event
By Sasha B-S, A-Level Psychology Student
The Psychology department co-hosted a GDST CareerStart online event with Wimbledon High School on 25 April which helped showcase the diverse array of career pathways within the field. Students from schools across the GDST heard from two speakers- Clare Bradley in the world of academia, psychological research, and health psychology at Royal Holloway and Kate Godfree who works as an Organisational Psychologist specialising in workplace wellbeing. These kinds of events help students to gain practical insight into life beyond university and career opportunities they may not have been aware of otherwise.
It was enriching to hear from Clare Bradley and her advice on work experience is helping me pursue work experience of my own over the summer.
