"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

NHEHS Weekly Sports Update January 10th – 17th 2020

Sisters Shine at Sport!

Gen in Year 9 won the Jack Petchey Award for Middlesex County Netball Academy for the second time this season. This is a huge achievement and we are all very proud. Meanwhile her sister Morven has come back to school sport this week, having nearly a full term off for a broken arm. In her first week she got joint man of the match for the A hockey team in a tournament, and man of the match at the U12 netball game v G&L! Well done to both!

Netball

For their first netball fixture this term the U12 A-F teams travelled to Godolphin & Latymer last Monday 13th. The A, B & C teams were victorious, winning 17-11, 9-8 and 10-7 and MVP named as Morven, Jaspreet and Zoe D respectively. The Ds lost 4-7 (MVP Emmeline) and the F team by 2-7, although the E team won their game 6-4.  The following day, the U13 teams also played away at G&L, with the A team winning 11-10 but the Bs (11-14), Cs and Ds all lost. On the same evening, the U14A team hosted St Paul’s but lost narrowly 11-12, with MVP Gen.

Hockey

The first tournament of the term saw our U13 and U12 hockey teams take part in the Highgate Hockey Tournament in north London on January 11th. The U13A team finished as runners-up in their competition, with some great goals from Ana in particular. Dana (Year 7) played in goal for the Year 8 team – so also well done to her too.

The U12 team were third, with some great performances all morning from Zoe D. and Morven.

Swimming

On 13th January, we held a swimming gala with Francis Holland School, Regent’s Park and our U13 and U14 teams both won their fixtures.
