"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

Performance Shorts to Brighten Up Our Days!

To bring us something fresh and new Mr Cheney has been sharing one or two performance ‘shorts’ on the Student Noticeboard every day during Lockdown 3!

To get the week off to a great start, performances will come from the Music Department on Monday mornings. So far we have listened to some awesome piano solos and sisterly duets. Watch some of the performances here:

On Tuesdays we are enjoying drama performances, which kicked off with Francesca and Dulcie (Year 12) reading from Caitlin Moran’s ‘Moranfesto’ – a letter to teenage girls with advice she wished she had been given as a young woman herself. Our next drama short was a superb performance from Natasha in Year 10.

Other performance shorts so far have included the 2020 GDST Film Festival award winning short film from Head Girl Georgia Wells, a historical speech and poetry recitals from the girls taking part in the ‘Poetry by Heart’ competition:

We were even treated to a live filmed dissection of a fish head by Year 13 biology student Li An!

Do take a minute or two out of your day to watch these on our social media accounts: Twitter, Instagram and Facebook – you never know who will be performing next!
