Virtual Multi Mini Interview (MMI) Practice for Aspiring Medics
Dr Sheldon, Science University Preparation Co-Ordinator
The interview is an important part of the selection process for applicants for Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science courses. This year, with the restrictions imposed by lockdown, these interviews are being carried out virtually. Having offered practice in past years, we wanted to do something appropriate for current times so on 25th November, using Google Meets, we set up a series of MMIs with a panel of professionals in the medical sciences.
It is impossible to express how grateful we are to those who have given up their time during such a period of crisis for the health services. The interviewers were Katharine Hunt, David Lefroy, John Keen, Yasmin Sahota, Anna Zakharova, Phyllis Keen, Denise Watson and Eimi Howse. As well as from NHEHS, the interviewees included students from Featherstone, Elthorne, Twyford, Dormers Wells and Ellen Wilkinson schools from Ealing. This was followed up by an interview workshop for our students with Richa Ajitsaria (Grover) after school on 1st December.
