Volunteering Day – Putting Smiles on Faces at Three Local Care Homes
As part of our Volunteering Day on June 12th, we were delighted to continue our support for our local care homes. Students from Year 10 are regular visitors to the homes as part of our Enrichment Programme.
Students from Year 8 travelled with staff to sing, entertain, participate in craft activities, and of course, chat to residents at St David’s, Chestnut Lodge and Downhurst care homes in Ealing. Meanwhile, our Year 7s created over 100 pieces of beautiful artwork to display on the walls of our local care homes.
Over in Junior School, our Reception and Year 1 girls put on a wonderful performance of songs and poems for our visitors from St Stephen’s Church (Tea Timers) and Memory Lane Café from St Barnabas.
