Weekly Sports Update June 25th 2021

Athletics

Our Junior (combined 7&8) and Intermediate (combined 9&10) athletics teams went to Lee Valley to take part in the Middlesex Final of the Track and Field Cup 2021 on June 21st at Lee Valley.

We are delighted to say the Junior Team won (1st out of 10 teams)- with a cracking total of 348 points! This is the highest point score a junior NHEHS team has ever had, with points being awarded on times ran and distances achieved for field events ! The Intermediate Team finished a respectable 3rd place with 266 points. Well done to all taking part. You can read a full report on these excellent performances here.

Two days later our U12/U13/U14 athletes also took part in a three school event at Perivale Track, which NHEHS won overall with 814 points, St Augustine’s second with 581 and St Benedict’s third with 415.

Cricket

Godolphin & Latymer were our cricket opponents mid-week, with our U14 team winning and our U15s losing. Our U12 cricketers (B and C teams) both clocked up wins vs. St Augustine’s.

Rounders

On Thursday our U12 and U13 teams took on St Augustine’s, with the U12As winning 14.5 t o2.5, our U13As winning by 14-6, while the U13B team won 14-6 and C team 10-2.5.

Tennis 

Our U13 team played local games this week against St Benedict’s and came away with a win.
