First day back to school for our Sixth Formers last week was not just the beginning of a new school year. They walked into a newly refurbished Sixth Form Centre! The new space has three main zones – a study zone, a relaxing zone and a dining zone. The students were part of the creative process and pulled together a mood board that helped develop the colour scheme. 

Calming shades of green, blue and grey provide a relaxing space for our students to relax, work and eat. Miss Aherne, Head of Sixth Form said “the new space is such a positive environment and will really help the students flourish, but we haven’t finished yet, and have asked the students to develop further ideas for the walls. We want to give them the chance to personalise their Sixth Form from plants to pictures. I am looking forward to see what they come up with!”

We overheard a few comments from as the students came through the building – “Wow! It is so nice, love the colour, the sofas are so comfy. It feels so bright and light!”
