"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

Year 7-8 Athletes Compete at Regional A Track & Field Cup Final

By Sofia B, Year 8

Our Year 7 and 8 athletics team went to Watford for the Regional A final of the Track and Field cup on the 17th of June. This was the second round of the cup and we had qualified by winning the Middlesex round last month at Lee Valley.

In the morning we took part in our field events, which were Shot, Discus, Javelin, Long Jump and High Jump. There were some great performances including some PBs with Cosi’s high jump (1.38m) and Ella’s long jump (3.83m) and many more which managed to add our score up to 137 points!

On the track in the afternoon the team did even better!  Agnes got 13.2 seconds in the hurdles, I ran 2:26 in the 800m, Erin ran 29.6 in the 200m and Alice ran 2:41 in the 800m. There were many other high scorers including Emma (11 points in the 200m), Anishka 15 points in 300m and our relay team of Erin, Maria, Cecily and Alice ran really well to win 17 points in the 4 x 100m relay.

We finished 8th overall and although the competition was tough it was fun to watch everyone run and cheer on our team. The Year 7s did especially well competing against Year 8s in many of the events!
