"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

The NHEHS Library-Archive Newsletter – January 2022

Every month, our NHEHS Librarian and Archivist, Mrs Broekmann puts together a newsletter highlighting new or timely library resources for students and staff at school and sharing some snippets from the past history of the school.

From the archive this month, we take a look at the history of sport at Notting Hill. Did you know that in 1898 Princess Louise offered the use of a playing field to the school so more games could be played? Or that the cricket team had to stop playing when the school gained access to the Palace grounds as Princess Louise did not deem cricket an appropriate game for girls to play?
